PhilArt Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides from PhilArt

In an age where injectable aesthetic products are on the rise, it’s important to be selective about the treatments that are out there and to research their safety and efficacy. Here at Dentelle Aesthetics in Dorridge, we are extremely careful about the new injectable treatments we introduce at the clinic and after careful research and consideration, are delighted to introduce polynucleotides as an injectable anti-ageing and skin healing treatment. We offer PhilArt polynucleotides from Croma Pharma as our product of choice.

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are extracted DNA fractions that attract water molecules, helping to hydrate dehydrated and ageing skin. They are extracted in an ethical manner from trout and salmon sperm. They utilise an anti-free radical action to scavenge damaging OH hydroxyl radicals which can accumulate as a result of cell damage from various external causes. Polynucleotides are filtered and ultra-purified and expertly injected in to the mid dermis to initiate your body’s own natural fibroblast production. This action results in a thicker, healthier epidermis (up to 52% in 23 days), reduced inflammation and increased collagen production (up to 47% in 23 days. The end result? – more youthful looking and resilient skin.

What type of skin concerns can polynucleotides be used for?

Polynucleotides can treat the following skin concerns:

  • General signs of ageing (lines, wrinkles, dehydration, skin sagging)
  • Acne scars and surgical or trauma scars

  • Stretch marks

Frequently asked questions about Polynucleotides

Am I suitable for a treatment with Polynucleotides?

We always advise that you attend a no obligation consultation here at Dentelle Aesthetics, before any treatment can be carried out. During your consultation, we will examine your skin and discuss with you what areas of your face and body you’re concerned by. We will then discuss your options for a polynucleotides treatment and where we believe it will be most beneficial to inject. We will check your medical history to make sure that this treatment will be safe for you to undergo.

What happens during a treatment using Polynucleotides at Dentelle Aesthetics?

Your skin will be cleansed thoroughly and a topical anaesthetic will be applied, for your comfort. Then, small injections of the Polynucleotides will be administered to various points in the treatment area. Once the treatment is complete, you can return to your daily activities, adhering to any aftercare advice that your Dentelle practitioner offers.

Are there any side effects / risks with Polynucleotides?

Unlike with some traditional dermal filler treatments, there is no risk of occlusion, permanent lumping and other related complications with Polynucleotides. The product is extremely pure and biocompatible with human skin. Therefore, to date, there have been no adverse reactions to the product.

Is there any downtime following a treatment with Polynucleotides?

As with any injectable treatment using a needle or cannula, you may experience some very slight bruising, swelling and light tenderness at the injection sites, but this should subside within a couple of days. Using ice, arnica and avoiding alcohol the night before and after your treatment should help minimise any side-effects.

How many polynucleotides treatment sessions will I need?

This depends on your individual skin concerns and expectations. Usually we will recommend 4 treatment sessions, a month apart for optimum visible and lasting results; then maintenance sessions, once every 6 to 12 months. Results should continue to improve in the months that follow your initial course of treatment .
